Pāṇa Rice

Our Commitment

Human Rights Policy

A preliminary statement of principles — last revised 2026.

At Pāṇa Rice, our reverence for life extends beyond the field. The same compassion that shapes how we farm — gently, mindfully, and in balance with nature — guides how we treat the people who make our work possible. We believe that the dignity, safety, and freedom of every person in our supply chain is inseparable from the wholesomeness of the rice we grow.

We are committed to upholding internationally recognised human rights standards, including those expressed in the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the ILO core labour conventions. We do not tolerate forced labour, child labour, discrimination, or harassment in any form. We pay fair wages, honour the right to freedom of association, and work only with partners who share these principles. Every farmer, harvester, and worker in our network deserves to be heard, respected, and protected.

This policy is a living one. We will continue to listen, learn, and strengthen our practices as we grow — because a grain cultivated through harm to any breathing being cannot truly nourish.

Raise a concern.

If you witness or experience anything that contradicts these principles, we want to hear from you in confidence. Reach our team at pana@panarice.com.
